7 Reasons Why You’d Be Crazy Not To Read Stalk Me

There are plenty of romance books out there to choose from. I mean, let’s face it, there are a lot of gals out there looking for tender bad boys, hot rock stars, cocky yet sensitive jocks, and all the guys in-between that our favorite authors can bring to life in roughly 350 pages. But with so many talented authors and steamy plots to choose from, how to do you decide?

Well, the answer is simple, really. Read reviews. What better advice than that of other readers just like you looking for similar things? Of course, it will be up to you which reviews you pay attention to and which ones you simply give a once over. But, we have a feeling you’re going to like Team Brooklyn’s review of Stalk Me, by Jillian Dodd.

There are a thousand reasons we could give you as to why you should read Stalk Me, but we’ve somehow managed enough brilliance to narrow it down to 7.

Without further torture, let’s get down to business.

1. Keatyn is a bad ass fashionista and pretty much the best heroine ever.

Okay, so romances obviously have a main focus on guys and the crazy things they do to us as women, but let’s face it – the heroine makes the story. No one wants to have a crazy heroine, a weak one, one that’s boring or just really annoying. No, we want someone we can relate to. Someone who makes us wish we had their life.

Well, Keatyn is basically a badass.

She has a kick ass personality, she’s fun, she’s sweet, but she’s also a little sassy, and she thinks and acts like most of us wish we had the guts to.

Oh, and she’s also the most stylish heroine that ever existed. We’re talking clothes, shoes, and a closet to DIE for. Plus, she’s got the perfect attitude to rock it.

But it’s not just that she’s a badass, she’s also chill and down to earth. She’s just like us, except maybe a little bolder, and she’s taking us on her journey of growing up and going through all the drama that goes along with it. In a nutshell, she’s awesome and you’ll love her.

2.  You’ll think you’ve died and gone to hottie heaven.

The guys in this book are SERIOUSLY hot. Like panty-melting, Kindle-smoking, need-a-cold-shower-to-be-able-to-think-straight-again hot.

At first, you’ll probably be like

Then, as you meet more and get, ahem, close to them, you’ll be more like

By the end, when all the glorious hotness is laid out before you, you’ll pretty much give up and just be like

Dodd basically sets you up with a buffet of hotness, mixed with some of the best personalities and one liners you’ve heard since the first time you watched Titanic. Not only are the guys hot, but they’re also unique and fun in their own way, which gets you hooked to all of them for some reason or another. Dodd makes you fall in love over and over again, and not just with the guys Keatyn is romantically involved with. Dodd has even managed to create a smoking hot father figure, dangerously sexy villain, and some of the most who-cares-about-being-friends-let’s-cross-the-line “guy friends” you’ll ever meet. Our favorite may or may not be a sexy surfer with incredible abs (wink wink.)

So essentially, all you need to know is this book is packed with hotties and you better prepare for a hangover (that is, until you pick up book two).

3.  There’s so much awesomeness going on you won’t know how to deal.

This book will seriously have you freaking out with everything going on. Not only are there insanely hot boys, crazy fun parties, and all the drama of a great teenage movie, but there are also really relatable characters that will have you feeling like maybe this could be your life (in an alternate universe where you’re a bad ass and every guy you talk to is smoking hot, that is.) Think of it as the best possible combination of Gossip Girl and Mean Girls, mixed with all the delicious drama of The O.C.

I know, right? It’s like Dodd managed to bring in all the emotions of Gossip Girl

Then, she mixed them in with the girls you love to hate and the impossibly fantastic high school situations of Mean Girls

Exactly. But let’s not forget the insane amount of gotta-have-more drama that flows through the veins of Stalk Me, maybe even more than what existed in The O.C.

Yeah, we know. The great thing is that Stalk Me is only the first book of this amazing combination. Once you read it and get hooked (and trust us, you will,) there is a full series of other books still left to cure your craving for more.

Yeah, feel free to just go wild with excitement. It happens to the best of us.

4. You’ll fall in love, over and over again.

We all love reading a beautifully executed romance book that makes us feel like we are the ones falling in love, right?

Well, imagine that times, like, a thousand. Dodd doesn’t give you just one hottie to fall in love with, she gives you like ten. And it’s not just that she gives you a bunch of hot guys to drool over just because of their looks. No, they’re both irresistibly sexy while also being so stinking romantic and adorable that you’ll probably just give up on trying to be faithful to just one.i cnat

Yeah, and heaven help you if you decide to pick a team. Because as soon as you latch onto one guy and think he’s absolutely got to be the one for Keatyn, he’ll go and do something stupid that will just have you like

And don’t think Keatyn won’t make you want to throw your e-reader across the room. Sometimes the drama is just too much and there will be so much going on that you’ll just be like

But hang in there, everything will find it’s way back together and you’ll find inner peace.

At least until you pick up the next book.

5. It has every kind of character you could want in a book.

Okay, so maybe just having a kick ass heroine and a bunch of steamy hot guys isn’t enough for you (it’s okay, we’ve all been crazy a time or two in our lives.) Well, have no fear, because Dodd does this thing where she doesn’t introduce you to a character unless she knows you’re going to absolutely love them.

Of course we’ve already told you that you’ll fall in love with Keatyn and all her guys, but what’s more – you’ll also fall in love with Keatyn’s family. See, Keatyn is the daughter of a movie star. And her movie star mom is married to an insanely hot actor who’s also the best father figure ever. And they all live in California and live this dream life of being famous and rich and gorgeous.

Right?! Plus, she’s got four adorable little sisters that will literally steal your heart and have you like

Mix in her sexy guys with her awesome family, and you might just think Keatyn has it all. But that’s not it, she’s also running with that crowd of girls you love to hate. You know, the kind where you want to be their friends because they always look like they’re having so much fun, but you also know they have the potential to be the biggest bitches in the entire world? Yeah, those kind. You might be so afraid of them that you’ll actually wear pink if you read on Wednesday.

So overall, Dodd just slaps you in the face with so much awesomeness you can’t even handle it. But it’s okay, you’ll get used to it after the first few books. Then, you’ll just learn to accept that Keatyn is just the luckiest damn girl that ever lived.

6. The plot is more twisted than the cords of your headphones.

Here’s the thing, even after telling you all this, we can’t even accurately portray how insane the plot is. We promised a spoiler-free review, so let’s just try to break this down as delicately as we can.

Okay, so you’ll meet all these people and get in on the drama and you’ll think you’ve got everything figured out. There’s some boy drama, some friend drama, some school drama, and the obvious drama that goes along with planning a birthday party. Oh, and there’s also a stalker involved. So things are a little crazy, but overall you’re just like

got this

And then all of a sudden, WHAM.

Dodd just hits you with this holy shit moment that completely changes the game. I mean, takes this whole universe that you’ve enveloped yourself in and shakes it so hard you fall out of it and land flat on your ass more confused than girl trying to play Call of Duty for the first time.

But just take a deep breath, everything will be okay. Luckily, there is a full series of books waiting to reveal all the answers you need. And more importantly, to provide more steamy hotness than should be allowed.

7. Jillian Dodd is the best thing since travel size wine bottles.

We all seem to fall in love with those authors that can steal our hearts, make us laugh, make us cry, and just give us awesome stories that we’ll never forget. But Dodd does more than that. Not only does she write this fabulous story that you’ll absolutely become addicted to

but she’s also THERE for you. She has a blog where she gives you playlists to go along with the books, boards that show you all of Keatyn’s fabulous outfits, and even a dream cast so you can visually see all the hotness that you just experienced when reading.

And that’s not all, she also has a group on Facebook where you can discuss all your heartache and addiction with other readers just like you who love the series just as much. And not just with each other, but with Jillian, too. Yeah, that’s right, she actually comes in the group and discusses the book with you, on top of giving you sneak peeks, deleted scenes, and hints as to what might happen in the next book.

i cant

So pretty much, you’ll just want to be like

So there you have it, 7 reasons why you are absolutely insane if you don’t read Stalk Me. Just in case you’re still not convinced, let us just leave you with one final point.

Now, go fan yourself off,
